I’m a nurse — but I’m not your nurse
I write from two perspectives: my professional background as a registered nurse, and my personal experience living with ADHD. However, reading this blog does not create a nurse–patient or provider–patient relationship between us. Nothing here should be taken as personalized medical advice.
Personal experience is not a prescription
Much of what I share describes what has worked (or failed) for me personally. ADHD looks different in every brain. Strategies, routines, or products that help me may not be right for you — and some may not be appropriate for your situation at all.
Always consult a professional
Always seek the advice of your physician, psychiatrist, or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding ADHD or any other medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read on this site.
Medication and treatment decisions
Do not start, stop, or change any medication or treatment based on the content of this blog. Decisions about ADHD medication and treatment should be made only with a qualified healthcare provider who knows your medical history.
In an emergency
If you think you may be experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, call your doctor, go to the nearest emergency department, or call your local emergency number immediately. In the United States, if you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). If you are outside the U.S., please contact your country’s local crisis line or emergency services.
Accuracy of information
I do my best to keep content accurate and up to date, but medical knowledge evolves. I make no warranties about the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of the information on this site. Any action you take based on this content is strictly at your own risk.
Affiliate links
Some posts may contain affiliate links. This is disclosed separately in my Affiliate Disclosure. Affiliate relationships never change my honest opinion of a product, and no product mentioned here is a treatment for ADHD.
